Is your job stressing you out? Are you frantically refreshing your email every 3 minutes in hope of an interview request? Are you feeling overwhelmed in your new job? Whatever your stress may be, we’ve come up with some quick fixes to help you out.

Exercise – We like the 22 press up challenge, some good old stretches, a few sit ups or if we’re feeling CRAZY we’ve been trying to learn how to ‘caterpillar’.

Offer to make a brew – Because tea makes everything better, and get you in your colleague’s good books!

Crack out a bad joke – You know the ones, akin to the kind you find on a penguin bar wrapper – How can you tell if a penguin is happy? They’ll give you a pen-grin. You can thank me later for that one.

Get some fresh air – a couple of minutes away from your screen and a couple in some fresh air will give you the wake up you need.

If it’s an ongoing issue that’s causing you sleepless nights then the above could be short term aids, but we do recommend having a chat with your line manager about what you can do together to fix the situation if it’s the workplace that is causing you intense stress.
