Job Description

Wallis Lynch are working in partnership with a growing entrepreneurial business who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to their friendly team. The vacancy will be to process, support and control purchase ledgers, expenses and cash transactions within the company.

Duties and responsibilities:

1.Complete daily cashbooks in excel for bank accounts via Online Bank Accounts with several different banks
2.Process purchase ledger invoices – complete tracker in excel, code, scan, send out for approval and input to the accounts system
3.Communicate with internal staff for approval and coding of invoices via phone and email
4.Monthly bank reconciliations and support to Senior Accounts Assistant to make sure all bank accounts are reconciled as per the month end timetable
5.Payments to suppliers using BACS and Faster Payment through online banking, preparation of BACS upload file
6.Reconciliation of credit card statements via Concur and liaising with Card Holders / Users to ensure all receipts are received and processed on the accounts system
7.Processing expense payments after the payments have been made
8.Processing customer refunds and cash transfers for credit control via online banking
9.Liaising with suppliers about queries and payments via telephone and email
10.Reconciliation of accounts against statements using Supplier Statement Reconciliation Template
11.Managing the Concur expenses system / PO system to ensure reporting is being utilised as efficiently as possible
12.Ad hoc duties to assist and support the team
