We are currently supporting our SME client in their search to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their Coventry site. The role is to take over from a person who is going to be retiring during the early part of 2019 and therein our client is keen to bring someone on board to benefit from a good handover.
This role will form part of a small team of two who report directly into the Finance Director. Whilst your colleagues responsibilities will focus around the Accounts Payable duties your own specific duties will centre around the Accounts Receivable ledger. However a willingness to work both sides of the day to day transactional activities will be key to this appointment.
Prime responsibilities will include:-
- Recording and allocation of cash receipts
- Responsible for managing and chasing all outstanding debts
- Daily reconciliation of credit cards and receipts
- Dealing with all internal and external queries
- Bank reconciliation
- Ad hoc supplier payments
Our client is keen to appoint an experienced all-rounder (S/L and P/L) and someone with a really strong ‘can do’ attitude is essential including a willingness to cover essential tasks when the other team member is absent. Previous experience of using Sage systems (ideally Sage 200) would be ideal but not essential.
