Assistant Group Accountant - Coventry
£25,000 - £30,000pa

We are currently recruiting for our Coventry client who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their expanding Group Finance function.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will contribute to a broad range of activities to support the Group accounting function. Typically your remit will include the provision of Management information, cash control, overseeing the payables ledgers and various compliance/VAT matters.

Your tasks will include:

  • Preparation of weekly, monthly and 18 month rolling cash forecasting
  • Monitoring cash flows daily
  • Cash forecasting
  • Assist in the preparation of appraisal for new projects
  • Ensure cost plans produced for new projects
  • Preparation of the Head office central accounts
  • Maintain the asset register
  • Oversee the creditors ledger
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Act as a lead on Audit and Controls Compliance

To be considered our client are ideally seeking applications from Part Qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience of the type of duties above. To succeed in this role you will need to be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a strong level of Excel competence. Any previous experience of VAT reporting on Property or Construction sectors would be highly advantageous.
