Are you an experienced CFO with previous experience of working in an international environment?

Wallis Lynch is working in partnership with a Midlands based SME who form part of a larger International Group. We are currently supporting in the recruitment of an experienced CFO to join their UK business.

In this role you will be working closely with the UK Managing Director with a dotted line of responsibility to the International group CFO to deliver both localised and group strategy as well as ensure the full spectrum of Management reporting and statutory accounting is delivered within group expectations. You will assume responsibility for driving the local finance team of 6 to deliver the UK entities Financial and Management Accounts on a Monthly/Quarterly and Annual basis in accordance with IFRS accounting standards. You will take the lead on all strategic planning to ensure the forecasting cycle is delivered in accordance with Group expectations.

As the CFO you will ensure that the financial controls are in place and reviewed regularly with a vision of continuous improvement to capitalise on commercial opportunities and reduce any risk to the business. You will be a positive mentor to the existing team to ensure the individuals can maximise their own opportunities for enhancing their careers. Your duties will include providing monthly management accounts, reports and commentary as agreed with the Managing Director and Group CFO, statutory accounts, VAT returns and Corporation Tax computations, preparation of the Annual Budget as well as quarterly forecasting, regular review of the Balance Sheet and other reconciliations to deliver an accurate account of the organisations financial position. You will play a pivotal role in driving the continual review of group and local internal controls to minimise financial risk to the business, oversee all financial administration such as Payroll and Pensions, work closely with CEO and all Group Directors to fulfil group strategies, manage various financial projects to a successful conclusion, monitor any major capital projects, contribute to the Group activities including regular attendance at International Finance group meetings to ensure group policies are standardised across all entities.

As the ideal candidate you will be an experienced CFO/Head of Finance with a proven track record, ideally gained in a Telecoms, IT or Consultancy business. Previous exposure to working in an international environment would be a major advantage. It is essential you are a qualified accountant with significant PQE and strong leadership skills. Your ability think critically and strategically will be put to good use in this challenging role. If you have previous SAP knowledge this would be highly advantageous but not essential.

In return we are offering you £75,000 – 85,000 plus benefits that include Company Car, Pension, Healthcare.
