Job Description

Are you looking for an Analytical role within a Credit arena? Do you want a role in a thriving multi billion pound company?

In this role you will be reporting to the supportive Finance Manager and working in a team of 6. You will be assisting the Finance Manager in the maintaining of effective financial control over a speicific area of the Company’s revenue earnings to enable accurate reporting and forecasting thereof and to maximise cash collection. Your duties will include; maximising cash collections and query resolution managing, assisting in prior year reconciliations including collections, cultivate relationships, query resolution, maintaining the detailed ledger used for the reporting and forecasting of income, including month end reconciliations, preparing monthly debtor report for reporting. You will also be preparing monthly rebate debtor information and distribute to the relevant internal teams, and Assist the Finance Manager with any ad-hoc projects, as necessary. 

Liaising with the Central Finance Team to control collection and internal Audit and also with external partners to collect outstanding money to help resolve queries. Therefore good communication skills are essential for you to be considered for this role.

As the ideal candidate you will be AAT Qualified, have a relevant degree or be Part Qualified through either CIMA or ACCA. It is also of great importance that you have good Business acumen and commercial awareness. You should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines and you should hold a flexible, analytical and methodical approach in problem solving, and be able to manage ever-changing workloads and priorities – ability for multi-tasking. It is vital that you are self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative towards business improvement.

It is also essential that you are IT / PC literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel skills & Office. You should have the ability to communicate comfortably with all levels of staff & management in the company and build relationships with non-financial people.
