£18,000 - £19,500 + Bonus
Wallis Lynch are working with a Coventry based client to recruit a Credit Controller to cover maternity leave on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role would suit an experienced Credit professional with experience of chasing aged debt . Our client is also willing to consider applications from graduates who are looking to develop a career within the Credit Control field who have previous experience of working in a customer focussed environment.
About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Credit Manager/Credit Supervisor with responsibility for your own ledger and all aspects relating to the debt management. The role will work alongside a number of colleagues who each have their own ledgers for various sites throughout the UK. It will be your responsibility to ensure effective cash collections and liaise appropriately with the customers, sales teams and the internal payments allocation team. Our client has defined procedures, guidelines and KPIs so you will need to be a conscientious individual looking to take responsibility for your own portfolio.
·Assessing new customers for their credit worthiness
·Credit appraisals on existing customers
·Chasing debts via telephone and email correspondence
·Updating customers who are on hold
·Working to cash collection targets
·Other associated activities
This is fast paced environment that focusses heavily on their "team ethic". Whilst you will assume responsibility for your own ledger if needs be you will need to be a team player as and when required. Targets are key to their success and the company bonus is directly linked to achievement of KPI's therefore you will need to be the sort of character that thrives on targeted environments.
