Wallis Lynch are currently supporting our Birmingham based, growing SME in their quest to appoint a Finance Manager. Our client is an entrepreneurial business, that through adopting an innovative approach are enjoying significant organic growth. This is a new role that has been created to support the current Finance Director in managing the accounting function throughout this growth and beyond.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be actively involved in all aspect of the finance function including:
- Production of the Monthly Management Accounts
- Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process
- Assisting with the balance sheet reconciliation
- Daily/monthly cash flow forecasting
- Journals, prepayments and accruals
- Control of the Sales and Purchase Ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Regular review of overheads and monitoring of spend
- Quarterly VAT returns
The role is ideally suited to someone who is working towards their ACCA or CIMA qualifications. They offer a great environment to get "hands on" with all aspects of a busy finance function. The successful candidate will need to be commercially aware and be able to work at a fast pace with a flexible attitude to adapt to the ever changing demands of a fast growing SME. This is not a role for someone who is simply looking to crunch numbers but would suit someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys getting involved in the business and delivering a positive impact.
