Financial Controller - Operations
£38,000 - £45,000pa + Benefits

Wallis Lynch are working in partnership with a Local Coventry based business who are enjoying a sustained period of significant expansion. Probably best described as a rapidly expanding SME this entrepreneurial Coventry based client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to lead their operational finance team at their HQ.

In this role you will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller and work in daily partnership with the organisations Operational Director and teams. Supported by a Management Accountant and a number of transactional finance colleagues you will assume responsibility for ensuring all Operational Accounting is delivered in a timely and accurate manner. Your remit will be broad and include overseeing the daily and weekly revenue reports, the preparation of management accounts and the preparation of local budgets and forecasts. You will also be trusted with ensuring local bank accounts are reconciled, ensuring receipts are reconciled and accounts are correct as well as ensuring balance sheet control accounts are reconciled and submitted to group as required. Supporting the FC with ensuring audit and tax packs are completed for all companies within the Group.

To be considered for this role it is vital that you have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with Operational teams to ensure revenue are maximised and opportunities identified and also liaising with various managers to ensure all costs are controlled and minimised. You will need to be able to demonstrate a good strength of character as your internal stakeholders can be quite demanding and you will need to communicate effectively to influence matters.

As the ideal candidate you will be part qualified/Qualified in CIMA or ACCA, although consideration will be offered to those with strong relevant experience too. Ideally you be able to bring previous experience of working in the Hotel/Leisure sector, ideally multi-sited. You will be extremely organised, and have excellent communication skills and be confident in your reporting skills and hold a strong level of Excel (at least Pivots and Look ups). Previous experience of working across a multi-sited organisation would be highly advantageous.

In return we are offering you a salary of £38,000 - £45,000 plus the opportunity to join this rapidly growing SME who are currently going from strength to strength with further ambitious expansion plans.
