Job Description

Do you want to join a team where you can make your mark through making a positive change?

At Wallis Lynch we are exclusively partnering with UK Mail to recruit a Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join their Finance Team based in Ryton.

UK Mail is one of the UK’s leading integrated postal operators, delivering and collecting over 3 billion mail items and 50 million parcels per annum. We are offering you the opportunity to grow with a new generation of people. This is a company who is committed to pushing the boundaries of the postal and express parcel delivery markets and aims to be the first choice for their customers. The UK Mail team is determined, dedicated and eager to go the extra mile to evolve the business.

In this exciting FP&A role you will be providing strong financial input, support and planning for the UK Mail Group. This will involve liaising with key stakeholders, proving input into key projects to ensure the results are delivered as per the objectives and to timescales. This role will play a key part in the change to UK Mail with the recent purchase to DHL, through monitoring of synergies and business change.

As the ideal candidate, you will be approachable, you will be dedicated to developing insight for smarter direction of analysis, you will enjoy motivating others through demonstrating utility and results, be a proven problem solver and think critically as you will be relied upon to deliver, and finally, you should be committed to the achievement of team goals and encourage this commitment in others.

Preferably you will be in your final stages of CIMA/ACCA or Qualified. It is vital that you can engage with and appropriately challenge stakeholders within and outside the department, while maintaining a good working relationship. You enjoy working with both finance and non-finance staff to identify root causes of problems and can recommend and implement solutions. You can also read the need for accuracy against timeliness and can work well under pressure. You should have strong experience in Management Accounts and a keen eye for detail.
In return you will be joining a company where you can gain some great experience and make a real difference to the company. Not only are we offering you the fantastic opportunity to work in UK Mail in their state of the art offices for this exciting transition, we are also offering you an excellent benefits package. With a salary of £38,000 to £40,000, Contributory Pensions, 25 days holiday, Profit Share Schemes, Study support, Bonus and Free Parking, there is so much to gain from this exciting period of change.
