Payroll/Accounts Assistant - Temporary 3-6 Month Assignment
Are you an experienced payroll professional available for an immediate start?
Our client are seeking assistance for someone to join their small finance team, in particular to take responsibility for running their Monthly payroll for approx 300 employees. A well established and respected organisation the business has been ran by the family for many years now.
In this role you will be responsible for processing (via Sage) the payroll for 300+ monthly employees and all associated administration such as starters, leavers, SSP, SMP and all HMRC returns. The payroll ledger can at times be a complicated one with a variety of complications and adjustments that differ from Month to Month and from Employee to Employee. There may also be an opportunity to support the wider finance function in other financial administration from time to time too.
The key skill you need to be able to demonstrate is a sound understanding of current payroll legislation and previous experience of processing a similar (or larger) size ledger via Sage systems. The role is initially schedule to be for a 3-6 month period in order to cover an employee absence.
