Then we have the role for you! Here at Wallis lynch we are working with an international company based in Coventry to recruit a Finance Manager to join their flourishing business.
In this role you will be responsible for the timely completion of the monthly management accounts, through to production of draft commercial reports, full balance sheet reconciliations and submission of results to the parent company. In addition, you will be responsible for the planning, training and development of the management accounting team. You will act as a business partner, both through helping to improve the commercial acumen of the wider business, and through driving the process changes/efficiencies necessary to improve the financial reporting cycle.
In this great role your responsibilities will include producing the monthly commercial reporting packs and presenting to senior management, providing commentary and analysis for FD & FC on consolidated numbers, taking a lead role in the budgeting and reforecasting process, acting as a Finance Business Partner to promote the sharing of best practice across the finance function and the wider business, deputising for FC as required, supporting the Financial Accountant in the audit process and production of statutory accounts, contributing towards the successful completion of the Finance team’s objectives, producing of the pre month-end ‘flash’ P&L, and you will take ownership of Finance team’s balanced scorecard reporting and corrective actions.
As the ideal candidate for this role you should have excellent analytical skills, a drive to perform, and first-rate problem identification and resolution abilities. It is vital that you are a qualified accountant through CIMA or ACCA with management accounting experience alongside the motivation to drive your career forward. You will have advanced excel skills and analytical capability. You will possess great drive, enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude. Crucially you will be self-motivated and self-directed with ability to deliver results with minimal supervision and a proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external managers and contacts. You will be able to produce succinct correspondence and reports and communicate with non-finance representatives, provide guidance and support in understanding of financial data where necessary and have experience developing a culture of continuous process improvement.
